The supreme divinity and Orisa 

The supreme divinity is unique, he is the creator, the king, the almighty, the transcendent, the judge and he is eternal. There exist a lot of names for him; among the oldest are Olódumare, Elédunmare and Edumare. The supreme divinity has done his job with creation of everything. To help people, he created Orisa. This is why since then in our rituals we are addressing specifically them for their help.

In the physical world Ori is responsible for all personalities that we show outwardly; for our good character, bad character; for our impatience, self-confidence, responsibility and lack of responsibility. Our Ori is the main reference for our spiritual and social identity, therefore it is of great importance to take good care of it.
